Joint (uncontested) divorces:
Lawyer-assisted and full service options

To reduce the hassle of completing the forms, making the required child support calculations, and going to Court to file the proceedings, we can handle it all for you for a fixed fee. By ensuring that all the necessary documents are filed and that the proceedings contain the essential clauses, we can help you avoid potentially long delays.

For our full-service or drafting-only packages, you will need to:

1) Assemble your documents.

You will need to obtain the following documents. Contact the Directeur de l'état civil to obtain your birth or marriage certificates if those events occured in Quebec. Our firm can also order documents for you for a fee of $49 per document.

  • Copy of your birth certificate
  • Copy of spouse's birth certificate
  • Original act of marriage/marriage certificate
  • Proof of social assistance (welfare), if you receive payments

You will also need to provide the following for the Court to verify if you have put together a fair agreement:

  • Federal & provincial income tax returns
  • Federal & provincial notices of assessment for your last income tax return
  • Pay slips
  • Financial statements (budget) if you are self-employed or own a business
  • A statement of income and expenses for your buildings if you are a landlord

2) Complete the questionnaire.

Print, complete and sign the Joint Divorce Questionnaire and the Child Support Determination Form (Adobe PDF documents).

You will need to sign the questionnaire and return it to our office with the supporting documents listed above.

If you require assistance completing the Child Support Determination Form, we can assist you with our Aliform software.

3) Send in your payment.

You may pay online with a Mastercard or Visa credit card, by calling us at (514) 234-3333, make a payment at our office in person or by mail.
